Bn S Usb Keypad For Mac
This is an Apple Wireless Keyboard in excellent condition. Takes 2 AA Batteries.
I’ve only ever used top quality batteries. I have had this for a few years now, used frequently - no need for it as I have another keyboard/case.
The first USB keyboards (the one that came with the original iMac, and Power Mac G3 and early models of G4) still had the Power Switch on the keyboard. I think the USB Pro-keyboards were the first without the Power Switch.
Along with the keyboard I will include a case at no extra charge. The case - as pictured - is worn, but is handy and protects the keyboard closing with Velcro tabs. Please refer to the pictures, in particular of the case, and please feel free to ask any additional questions. Free postage will be included in the price. Item will be posted in an Australia Post Satchel with tracking.

The keypad paired easily with my MacBook Pro but I had hoped to also be able to use the device with Quicken which I run in a Windows 8.1 virtual machine (Parallels). Alas, I never succeeded. I even tried selecting 'PC' mode and pairing directly. Satechi said they have no way of testing this but as far as they knew it probably won't work in a shared mode on a VM. The device actually seems to work quite well in the Mac OS apps, and it's probably not entirely Satechi's fault it won't work on the VM. Unfortunately I still had to knock it down a couple of stars.
Since I do the bulk of my number typing in Quicken I'm going to return the keypad. UPDATE: Kudos to Satechi Tech Support. A couple of days later I got a.
I like this little addition a lot. It's perfect for my iMac that doesn't have a number key pad, which is unfortunate for when I'm working with numbers a lot at work. The only complaint I have is that it's is not constantly connected to my computer. There is a slight delay so if I start typing before it's connected, I have to go back and edit my numbers because it doesn't read the first few I type. It's a good choice for the price and I would still recommend it if you don't mind dealing with a tiny inconvenience. I bought this initially because I work off of a Surface Pro for work and have no number pad. After just dealing with the inconveniences for months, I finally decided to invest in a good 10-key.
This one is amazing! It connected effortlessly and seamlessly with my device via bluetooth. This was so convenient due to my tablet only having one USB port that I use for my mouse. There's also a button on the top left corner that is a hotkey for pulling up your computer's calculator-how convenient!
Would definitely recommend! I generally like this number pad for my iMac where I've been used to having keyboards with number pads and Apple Keyboard doesn't give me that. It is an OK match for the look of the keyboard with the aluminum matching exactly but keys are not as white. The keys are firm and good responsiveness you can tell on a mis-strike. Mine was purchased March 2017 Pros Mine sits flat on desk so no issue there The 2 cons were - it disconnects early and often the 1st number hit simple reconnects the pad, that results in errors from dropped number if you want to type 12345 you will get 2345 - recharging doesn't have a good indicator of battery life remaining. For the mouse and keyboard I can simply check the bluetooth status menu item. I purchased this keypad because I wanted a Bluetooth option rather than a USB connection.

The key pad works excellently on my Surface 3 Pro. Its thin perfect angle and the unit is very solid. Have been using heavily the past few days and its worked flawlessly, no lag in numbers being entered on spreadsheet.
I had a problem at the beginning. Pairing worked as advertised.
The keypad would not work as there is no NUM LOCK on the S3P. I called chatted with the Newer Tech Technical help line, and they told me that the driver was not good on the S3P and it would not work with Windows 10 as they had not tested with it. This consumed a better part of 30 minutes and the tech support in my opinion was far from good. There were long periods. Super useful for data entry for lab reports and my other classes. I love the microsoft calculator button and I love that hitting num lock will allow you to use 8, 2, 4, and 6 as up, down, left, and right arrow keys.
Minus one star because the pad occasionally turns itself off. It's not a prolonged thing, just like I'll be typing values into an excel table and pushing enter to move to the next row and sometimes it will completely lose connection for a cell.
It misses the enter key and the data value (the little green light turns off, too) and then turns back on the second time the enter key is pressed. It's only occasional and as long as I'm paying attention when I'm entering data, it's not a big deal.
Could also be that the battery might be going bad or that there is some sort of. My work laptop (teacher) does not have a number pad. It only has the numbers up top and the number lock on the letters. It's all I have for grade entry, plans, etc. For some reason I struggle with using the number pad that are over the letters. I like having the number pad separate like on a full keyboard. I got this to solve that problem.
I had no issues getting the bluetooth set up. It worked fine and I was able to use the number pad the way I prefer. Putting in grades is much easier with this than using the numbers on top, etc. This is exactly what I needed to make my job a little easier especially for grade entry.
