The Towne Meadow Media Center serves students and staff with over 20,000 items in its collection. This includes books, magazines, audio books, CDs, DVDs, and equipment. There are 30 computers in the media center that can be used for online catalog searches, information retrieval, and student projects and collaboration.

Mindy Bland is the Media Specialist at Towne Meadow. She is a former teacher and this will be her 15th year at Carmel schools. Mindy has an undergraduate degree from Taylor University as well as her Masters from Indiana Wesleyan University. All students come to the Media Center at least once every week with their classes to check out library materials and for instruction from Mrs. Bland. This small group and/or whole group instruction is aligned with the curriculum for each grade level. Bland works collaboratively with the classroom teachers on a regular basis to create lessons and projects that go along with what students are learning in the classroom.

Bland, as well as parent volunteers, are available to assist students in searching for books to check out each week. Kindergarten- check out 2 books (loan period- one week) 1st-2nd grades- check out 5 books (loan period- one week) 3rd-4th grades- check out 5 books (loan period- two weeks) 5th grade- check out up to 10 books (loan period- two weeks).
